Fan's Guide to State Championship Game/Events This Week


bearcat football It’s state championship week in Bearcat Country!

The Aledo Bearcats are headed to the Class 5A Division II state championship on Saturday. The Bearcats are aiming to become the state’s first 11-man football team to win nine state championships and defend last year’s title. Kickoff vs. Fort Bend Marshall is set for 11 a.m. at AT&T Stadium. This is a rematch of last year’s Division II state championship game.

Here’s a quick guide to championship game information and other spirit events happening this week:

Tickets/Parking
Pre-game ticket sales to the Aledo-FB Marshall game are ONLY available by purchasing online before the game. Click here to purchase tickets. This is a unique link for Aledo fans to attribute the sales to Aledo. Student tickets are $10 and adult tickets are $14. All tickets at the gate are $15. Parking at AT&T Stadium is $25 cash or $20 if paying with credit. Aledo fans will sit on the visitor side.

Free Bearcat Spirit Gear, Coffee & Donuts at Sunrise Sendoff
Join us along Bailey Ranch Rd. in front of Aledo High School on Saturday morning at 7:15 a.m. to help us sendoff the Bearcats! The team will be leaving the fieldhouse at this time so come out and show your Bearcat spirit. Get ready for the game by picking up free Bearcat football tattoos, T-shirts, orange-and-black spirit shakers and enjoy free donuts, muffins and coffee!

All the free food and spirit gear will be available in the parking lot of Reading Friends of Aledo, a proud Bearcat Backer. The sendoff will include the Bearcat Regiment, AHS cheerleaders and the Bearcat Dance Team. Bring your signs to show your support for the Bearcats!

Aledo High School Pep Rally Friday
Aledo High School will hold a pep rally for students at 1 p.m. Friday in the main gym. This is following the campus’ early dismissal.

Get Your Car Windows Painted!
Time to show your spirit around town and on the way to the game. Get your car shoe polished from 4:30-6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19 in the Aledo High School parking lot. AHS cheerleaders and student groups will be available during this time to paint your car windows.

Paint Your Business!
If you are interested in having your business, restaurant or office windows painted with Bearcat spirit, please contact Caroline Tabor at ctabor@aledoisd.org. Various AHS student groups will be available to paint windows during the week.

Early Signing Day Event Wednesday
Bearcat running back Jase McClellan and wide receiver Money Parks will be signing college scholarships on the Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the AHS indoor facility. Students, staff, family and the community are invited to attend.
