School Board & District Leaders Discuss Culture Shift at TASA/TASB Convention
Aledo ISD School Board members and District administrators had the privilege of being presenters during this year's Texas Association of School Administrators and Texas Association of School Boards Convention Sept. 20-22 in Dallas.
Aledo ISD officials were chosen to present a session titled, "The First Year of Culture Shift: A Learning, Trust-Building and Alignment Focus." The session covered Aledo ISD's journey to create a sense of urgency and foundation of a culture change with a new instructional focus and commitment to #GrowingGreatness.
The presentation detailed Aledo ISD's strategies of implementation and keys to successfully creating organization change with teaching and learning at the core. Presenters included Board secretary Forrest Collins, Trustee Jessica Brown, Superintendent Dr. Susan K. Bohn and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction Amber Crissey.
Dr. Bohn also participated in a podcast of public school advocates and was part of a panel session on "Navigating the Leadership Journey - A Female Perspective." Female leaders represented school districts, companies and universities and offered key factors and for success and personal insights from their leadership journey.
