The varsity girls volleyball team will have its first scrimmage against Frisco Wakeland Friday and play against Burleson on Saturday.
The first scrimmage will be played at 6:30 p.m. at Prosper High School. Frisco Wakeland had an overall record of 27-14 and made it to the second round of the playoffs last year.
The team’s second scrimmage will be at home at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Last season, Burleson had an overall record of 38-6 and made it to the third round of the playoffs.
Since the game is a scrimmage, parents will not need to pay for entry, but the district suggests that only family members of the participants attend.
Following the scrimmages, the Ladycats will play their first game of the season at Burleson Centennial on September 15. The first home game is scheduled for September 19 against Abilene Wylie. The athletic department is requesting that students not attend unless they are family members of players.
