Zach Tarrant was elected in 2023, and his term expires in 2026. He became Board Secretary in 2025.
Mr. Tarrant is a product of Texas schools. He graduated from Mansfield High School where he met his wife, Dana, then received his Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Sam Houston State University and his Master of Education degree in educational administration from Tarleton State University. After graduating, he and Dana moved to Parker County to start a family. Zach has been a leader in the Aledo ISD both as an educator and parent since 2009.
Zach currently serves as the Vice President for Overture Home Care in Fort Worth. Prior to joining Overture, he was principal at McAnally Intermediate School in Aledo, Texas. Known as “Mr. Tarrant” to countless students and faculty, his award-winning education administration and leadership experience also includes assistant principal of Aledo Middle School, as well as various teaching and coaching roles within the Mansfield and Fort Worth ISDs.
Zach and his wife Dana have been married since 2003. The Tarrant’s have two children, Ruby (Class of 2027) and Luke (Class of 2029).
