Laura Pace was elected to the AISD Board of Trustees in May of 2026 and her term expires in 2029. She has lived in the AISD community since 2017.
She grew up in Richardson, TX and attended Berkner High School, graduating in 2004. She then went on to attend Oklahoma State University with a degree in Human Environmental Sciences with a focus on Human Developmental and Family Sciences. Laura worked in elementary education for 9 years, with the last 5 years in Aledo ISD as a 3rd grade teacher at McCall Elementary.
Laura is married to Garrett, an Aledo graduate and local business owner. They have 3 children who attend Staurd Elementary; Foster, Ivy and Harvey. The Pace family is highly invested in the Aledo community and have served with Aledo AdvoCats, Aledo Education Foundation, Staurd Supporters and Aledo Athletics, Inc.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing and teaching mahjong and attending her children's many sporting events!
