Jennifer Taylor was sworn in as a member of Aledo ISD Board of Trustees in May 2019. Her term expires in May of 2025.
She has volunteered in Aledo ISD schools in a variety of capacities, including as a classroom and library volunteer, room mom, elementary yearbook committee chair, Campus Representative to Aledo PTO, Aledo PTO Membership Chair, Aledo PTO President (2015-2018), Aledo Baseball Boosters Club, Aledo Soccer Boosters Goal Club, Aledo Education Foundation Board of Directors, and Aledo Children’s AdvoCats Board of Directors. She has also served on numerous district committees, including Campus Advisory, Student Health Advisory (SHAC), Shattered Dreams, Aledo 2025, Federal Equity Plan, District of Innovation (DOI), and Districtwide Education Improvement (DWEIC).
Mrs. Taylor was born in El Paso, Texas and spent her childhood moving around the world as the daughter of an Army solider. She met her husband, Chris, at Fort Campbell High School. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University. After college, while Chris was in the Air Force, she worked as a retail pharmacist for several years. Jennifer currently focuses her time as a mom, pilot wife, and volunteer.
The Taylor family moved to Aledo in July of 2007 when Chris was hired as a pilot for Southwest Airlines. They have two sons, Kevin, Class of 2021 and Zachary, Class of 2023.
