David Lear was elected to the AISD Board of Trustees in 2018 and his term expires in May 2024. He became board secretary in May 2023.
Mr. Lear graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2000 with a BBA in Accounting and is a licensed CPA. He has professional experience in accounting, finance, business process improvement, project management and software implementations. Currently, Mr. Lear owns an advisory services business that provides configuration and implementation services for finance software, data migration and data modeling services and helps his clients realize operational efficiencies.
Mr. Lear and his wife Candi have been married for 18 years and they have two children – Madi, Class of 2023, and Kenzi, Class of 2026. He and Candi are active with PTO, the Aledo Education Foundation and Advocats.
Mr. Lear's term expires in May 2027
