Student Achievement
Aledo High School earned a Silver Distinction on the 2023 Advanced Placement School Honor Roll for an AP test pass rate of 63% during the 2022-23 school year and earned the AP Access Award due to the number of AP exam takers who are underrepresented minority and/or low-income students.
In the 2023-24 school year, Aledo ISD has 1 National Merit Finalist, 4 National Merit Commended Scholars and 72 students recognized by the College Board National Recognition Program.
College & Career Ready
Aledo ISD has been recognized as a CTE District of Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas (CTAT) for its leadership, innovation, and commitment to student success through high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
In 2023-24, Aledo High School students earned 492 industry certifications. In 2024-25, 2,015 students, 86% of those in grades 9-12, are enrolled in at least one CTE course.
Additionally, more than 250 high school students are gaining real-world experience through internships with over 60 local businesses. In total, Aledo ISD offers 77 unique CTE courses for students in grades 7-12.
District of Champions
Aledo High School finished in 2nd place in the 2023-24 UIL Lone Star Cup, earning points for achievements across a variety of programs, from football and volleyball to band and robotics.
The UIL Lone Star Cup recognizes the top overall athletic and academic programs in Texas.
Aledo ISD proudly holds 18 state titles, including 12 football championship titles. Multiple athletic, fine arts and academic organizations competed at the state level and earned medals in the 2023-24 school year.
