My name is Jayne Wood and I am the Music Teacher at Stuard Elementary. I love what I do and I am  passionate about teaching young children basic skills in music that will last a lifetime!  I attended Baylor University and received a degree in music education and the self contained classroom. I was always passionate about music, but when I took my first child development course, I fell in love. Young children are my heartbeat and they cause me to always smile! I have been teaching in the public schools for 12 years and 9 of them have been at Stuard. I also have worked in music studios teaching group piano, early childhood, parent child classes, and private piano. My primary instruments are piano and voice but I also teach beginning guitar. I am originally from California and love visiting my home state. My folks and siblings still live there so I frequent the golden state often.
