Mrs. Stacy Andrews

Welcome to my webpage.  I'm excited to be starting my 6th year at Coder Elementary teaching music.  My goal is to introduce all K-5th graders to all genres of music, guide them to appreciate what they hear and become life-long admirers of Music and the Arts.

In my music classroom we sing, we dance, we play instruments and we grow as musicians.

We use many instruments to explore sound, practice steady beat, provide accompaniments and create music.

I'm thrilled to be introducing our new handchimes, provided by the Aledo Education Foundation, to our 2nd-5th graders.

We also use many non-pitched percussion instruments, as well as electronic keyboards, xylphones and boomwhackers.

In November, the entire 4th grade class will present a Veteran's Day program.

In April, the entire 2nd grade class will present an Earth Day program.

We will have grade-level talent shows during the school day in late May.

I have a non-auditioned 5th grade choir that meets every Wednesday after school.  This group sings for local retirement centers and other public events.
