Welcome!

My name is Mrs. Martinez and we are going to have fun while learning technology skills that you will be able to take with you to create, design, incorporate, and even teach others about the big world of digital media! I currently teach Digital and Interactive Media, Graphic Design, and Graphic Design 2 and absolutely love my job and my students!

Career

This is my 5th year at Aledo ISD and my 15th year as a Texas educator. I've taught Career and Technology courses for 12 years and 3 years of Spanish 1 and 2! I am SUPER passionate about teaching CTE skills that you can take into the real world and have some very exciting projects planned for us this year!  My goal is to make learning fun by allowing you to create products over subjects/topics that are important to YOU, using the tools that we will learn in class and with the tools and skills that you will gradually build over the year.  I am also the Student Council advisor and JV and Varsity cheer coach at AHS.

Family Life

I am married and have 6 children, including 2 stepchildren.  My two oldest kids graduated from Aledo High School in 2017 and 2019 and are attending college, while my younger 2 currently attend AHS and Coder Elementary!  GOOOOOO BEARCATS! My oldest is a freshman in college and plays soccer for the University of the Ozarks (Go Eagles)!

I love fitness and I help others get fit by teaching group fitness classes at local gyms and also keep them accountable online.  I am passionate about working with people and helping them realize their goals and dreams, in various aspects of their lives!

Tutorials are available with me in Room 306 on most flex days (except Thursdays) and before & after school by appointment.
