Mrs. Clara Chavez

•Welcome to my SchoolWires page! This is my fourth year at Aledo High and I am very excited to get to work with your students!•

~~~#GoBearcats~~~#AledoMindset~~~#Aledo~~~#BearcatLife~~~
I am married to my high school sweetheart ♥ and we have three amazing boys! Aaron and Cruz both attend schools here in Aledo and Leo will be 2 years old in October! My husband and I both graduated high school from Trimble Tech in Fort Worth and from the University of North Texas in Denton together; He is a Leadership high school teacher in Irving. During our free time, we really enjoy doing as much as we can as a family and building happy memories♥.
Any language is learned by listening (hearing it) and practicing. I tell my students, "How did you learn English? Your parents didn't just hand you a list of English words as a baby and tell you, "okay now go study these and come "talk" to me when you've learned them"... Every student will be exposed to Spanish during class (Spanish II, primarily taught in Spanish; Spanish III and IV entirely taught in Spanish) and they must also take that initiative outside of class. Practicing Spanish will consist of listening, reading, writing and speaking; all the while learning about the cultures of the many Spanish-speaking countries.
