Professional Learning Department
Professional Learning Philosophy
Aledo ISD believes that professional learning increases educator effectiveness and school success. to do this requires prioritizing, monitoring, and coordinating resources for educator learning. The Professional Learning Department offers a variety of courses throughout the year at the campus and District level. Courses are taught by in-house and outside experts in various subject matter areas. Staff growth and improvement is the key to moving forward individually and collectively.
Effective June 2013, the Professional Learning Request Form is required for all trainings (except for summer PL courses taught at Aledo ISD) regardless of cost and/or funding source. All trainings for Aledo ISD employees should align with the District and Campus goals.
Please submit your completed form to your campus Principal or supervisor before it is submitted for final approval to Amber Crissey, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. Please allow 10 working days for approval.
Please direct any questions to the Curriculum and Instruction department.
