Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Sam Buckles
Welcome to Mrs. Buckles' 4th Grade ELAR/SS Class
My name is Sam Buckles, and I am so excited to be your child's 4th grade teacher! In my classroom I believe in creating a community. Community is established through connections between students, connections between teacher and students, and connections between teacher and parents. I guide my teaching with relationships in mind. I believe that all students have their own unique potential, and my job is to help them discover their abilities and learn how to use them as a they continue their education.
I am originally from Colorado. I attended the University of Denver and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business and Elementary Education. I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and an Endorsement in Special Education. This is my sixth year teaching ELA. My husband and I have been married for three years as of this past July. We have a yellow lab named Duke. We also have our first baby girl on the way. We love to camp and enjoy boating on the lake. We are huge college footballs fans (Hook 'Em Horns and Gig' 'Em - split household) and love sports and being active.
