Mrs. Kelsey Dyck
Dear parents,
My name is Kelsey Dyck and I am so excited to be teaching 1st Grade at Annetta Elementary this year. I can't wait to experience all of the fun and learning that will occur as we help empower our students for life long success!
This will be my seventh year in the classroom and my second year in Aledo ISD. Last year I taught 4th grade virtual Math & Science here in Aledo. Previously, I taught 1st grade in Grapevine-Colleyille ISD and 3rd grade in Midland ISD. I come from a family of educators and spent much of my time growing up practicing my "teaching skills" on my stuffed animals and older sisters.
I graduated from Texas Tech University (Wreck 'Em!) with a degree in Human Development in 2013 and have recently graduated with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction- Early Literacy from The University of Texas. Pursuing this degree has provided me with the opportunity to learn a lot about how a powerful curriculum and engaging/meaningful classroom experiences can help empower our students to facilitate their own learning, achieve their goals and become life long learners.
I have a daughter in fifth grade, a five year old son and an (almost) 2 year old son. My family and I absolutely love this community and we are so proud to be part of Aledo ISD!
I look forward to working with you and your student this year as we grow greatness together!
