Mrs. Kelsey Dyck

Dear parents,

My name is Kelsey Dyck and I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade math and Science at Walsh Elementary this year. I can't wait to experience all of the fun and learning that will occur as we help empower our students for life long success!

This will be my sixth year in the classroom and my first year in Aledo ISD. I previously taught 1st grade in Grapevine-Colleyille ISD and 3rd grade in Midland ISD. I come from a family of educators and spent much of my time growing up practicing my "teaching skills" on my stuffed animals and older sisters.

I graduated from Texas Tech University (Wreck 'Em!) with a degree in Human Development in 2013 and am set to graduate in December with  a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas. Pursuing this degree has provided me with the opportunity to learn a lot about how a powerful curriculum and engaging/meaningful classroom experiences can help empower our students to facilitate their own learning, achieve their goals and become life long learners.

I have a 4th grade daughter, a four year old son and a ten month old son. My husband and I are beyond thrilled to be bringing our family to such a wonderful community!

I look forward to working with you and your student this year as we grow greatness together!
