Hi, my name is Melanie York and I am so excited to be teaching 5th Grade at Walsh Elementary. This is my first year in Aledo ISD, but my fifth year teaching. I have practice in 3rd grade and Kindergarten, but have spent my last two years in Fort Worth teaching Math and Science. 

I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama and came to Texas to be closer to my sister, who lives in Aledo. Since then, I have met my husband, and had our first child together. I have fallen more in love with Texas each year that I spend here. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the Bearcat family and I can't wait to see what this year has in store!
