Ms. Traci Cottrell
Hello. : )
I am so excited to be starting my third year at Stuard Elementary as a third-grade teacher. I have been a teacher in Aledo ISD for over twenty years. Additionally, I was an Aledo Bearcat from kindergarten through my senior year, so I have a TON of school spirit. I also played sports during school and some in college, and I have always loved the way it feels to be a part of a team.
I look forward to instilling that same school pride and teamwork within our classroom. Our classroom theme for the year is FAMILY, because I feel that we are much more than ‘just a class.’ I want your child to feel at home here at Stuard Elementary. For that reason, you’ll find a welcome mat as you step into our classroom this year. There will be plants for the students to water, just like a home. We will spend countless hours together. We will listen to and support one another like a family.
A few things about me...
I have two children--a son who recently graduated from college and a daughter who is just beginning her college journey. I also have two cats and a dog. My hobbies include gardening, fitness, and spending time with family and friends. Teaching has always been my passion. I have taught just about every grade level as a home-bound teacher for Aledo ISD, but my true calling is with elementary-aged students.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me. My conference time is from 10:00 - 10:55 daily. I am available to speak with you either in-person or virtually through Webex, whichever you prefer.

We are family,
