Gifted & Talented
-
The mission of Aledo Independent School District’s Gifted Education Program is to provide advanced, appropriate, and quality educational experiences to develop higher level thinking skills, creative problem solving, and the desire for excellence and autonomous learning.
Aledo ISD Gifted and Talented services are designed to identify and serve general intellectual giftedness. Students identified gifted in the area of general intellectual ability possess the ability to perform at an exceptionally high level in a variety of cognitive areas such as abstract reasoning, logical reasoning, social awareness, memory, nonverbal ability and the analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of information.
GT Department Awarded AEF Grant!
On January 5th, the GT Department won a grant called "Coding and Circuits in Every Elementary Class." This grant allows us to purchase Makey-Makeys kits to enrich and teach students even more about programing and coding. We are so excited to use these amazing resources with our GT students!
