Mr. Stephen Segura
Stephen Segura is the Director of Percussion/Assistant Band Director for the Aledo ISD. Mr. Segura is in his first year with the Aledo Band and is very excited to be on staff with such a successful program!
Before accepting his current position, in Aledo, Mr. Segura was the director of percussion at Grapevine High School for 3 years. While at Grapevine, Mr. Segura led the percussion program to numerous 1st division ratings and several outstanding percussion trophies. His percussion ensembles also received high marks at the Forney percussion ensemble contest and the Eaton percussion festival. Most recently, Mr. Segura led the Grapevine Percussion Ensemble to 2nd place at the Eaton percussion festival.
Prior to working in Grapevine, Mr. Segura was the percussion director and symphonic band director at North Crowley High School. Under his direction, the third concert band received an excellent rating at concert and sight-reading UIL, which had not been seen by that program in several years.
Mr. Segura is a graduate of Texas Christian University. GO FROGS! While at TCU, he had the opportunity to participate in the percussion ensemble, steel band, jazz band, concert bands, and symphony orchestra. In 2011, he was the 2nd place winner of the PASIC Marimba Contest and in 2012 he was the section leader of the 1st place TCU Indoor Drumline at PASIC.
Mr. Segura currently resides in Fort Worth with his wife Samantha who is the director of theatre at Paschal High School in Fort Worth, TX. They are expecting a baby boy in December and are very excited to be joining the Bearcat legacy of success.
