Aledo High School Daily Announcements

  • These are the announcements for Tuesday, October 26, 2021

    • This month is SOCTOBER! As the months get colder, one of the most needed items at shelters is socks. In an effort to assist with this, the Leading Ladies have placed boxes around the school for you to bring new or gently used socks to donate. We will have the boxes available for donations the whole month of October.

    • PTO is putting on their annual canned food drive! Bring cans to your second period class to help your class win the most cans. The last day of collections will be October 29th. The winner will get a donut party for their whole class. GO BEARCATS!

    • LISTEN UP 2ND PERIODS! Student Council is hosting the 3rd ANNUAL AHS GREAT PUMPKIN DECORATING CONTEST The contest theme this year is “WILD ABOUT BEING DRUG FREE” so get your creative caps flowing and have fun with this collaborative project! PLEASE DO NOT CARVE YOUR PUMPKIN, we are only decorating, painting, etc. to keep them nice & healthy 😉 Student Council is providing the pumpkin for your class so if your 2nd period class wants to participate, simply email Mrs. Martinez or go by her room 306 to pick up a pumpkin today! We will set up tables for decorated pumpkins outside of the counselor’s office for judging next week, pumpkins are due TOMORROW at noon. The winning class will win a donut/breakfast party on the day of your choice!

    • Send your friend, teacher, or “boo” a HOSA boogram for Halloween! Boograms will be on sale during all lunches in the cafeteria for $2 cash through today. Boograms will be delivered on Friday, October 29th to the students’ 2nd period teacher. Thank you for supporting HOSA!

    • Be sure to stop by the library this week to pick out your scary book, thriller, or murder mystery!  The Scary Book display will only be up for one more week.  Those who participate will be invited to a pizza lunch later in November.  See your English teacher or the librarian for details.
