AMS Library

Welcome to the Aledo Middle School Library!  My name is Katy Smith, and I look forward to being your librarian!  My mission as a librarian is to promote literacy and a love of reading, while teaching students to be effective information seekers and lifelong learners.    

A little about me:  This is my 17th year in education; I have spent these years as an English teacher and school librarian.  Yes, I am an English teacher turned librarian...can you tell that I love books???  Ha!  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English from Angelo State University and later received my Master’s Degree in Library Science/Educational Technology from Texas A&M University, Commerce.    

When I am not reading, I enjoy chasing my sweet 4 year old little boy, baking, and traveling!
