How to access AISD learning apps
Students use LaunchPad to access all district apps. When accessing LaunchPad, we highly recommend using the Chrome browser. It will make access to Webex, Canvas and Seesaw much easier and cause less issues. Make sure you are logging into the Chrome browser (regardless of the type of device you are using) using your student's @aledoisd.org account. If you are signed into Chrome with a personal account, make sure you sign out and back in with your student's @aledoisd.org account.
How to Login to Launchpad
Step 1: Sign into the Chrome Browser
Google login example:
Username: johndoe@aledoisd.org (firstnamelastname@aledoisd.org)
*After the Aledo ISD username is entered, students will be automatically directed to Launchpad to finish the login process.
Step 2: Login to Launchpad
Launchpad login example:
Username: johndoe (firstnamelastname)
Password: Aledo network password
-Prek-9th grade:firstinitial+lastinitial+studentID# (capitalize initials)
-10th-12th students have a different password they have used this year that is a combination of numbers, words, and punctuation

Problems logging into an app from a personal device
Many students using personal devices have reported not being able to access some AISD learning resources (Canvas, SeeSaw, IXL, and VDI just to name a few). This usually happens when the Chrome browser or Chromebook is signed in with a personal account instead of a school account. The Chrome browser or Chromebook must be signed in with a school "@aledoisd.org" account for all school learning resources to work properly.
Add a new profile
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click Profile . This is the circular icon next to the three dots in the top right corner of Chrome.
- Click Add.
- Type in your school email address ending in "@aledoisd.org".
- A new ClassLink LaunchPad signin window will appear. Enter your school account username (no @aledoisd.org, usually firstnamelastname) and school account password.
- Choose the option to turn on sync.
-
Choose a name, photo and color scheme if prompted.
If you choose to turn sync on in Chrome with a Google Account for the new profile, your bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings will sync automatically.
Using a Chromebook? You can share your Chromebook with other people by adding them to your Chromebook.
Switch to another profile
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click Profile .
- Choose the profile you want to switch to.
Remove a profile
After you remove a profile from Chrome, the profile's bookmarks, history, passwords, and other settings are erased from the computer.
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click Profile .
- Select Manage profiles .
- Point to the profile you want to remove.
- At the top right of the profile, click More Delete.
- To confirm, click Delete.
Add a person to your Chromebook
You can let other people sign into your Chromebook using their Google Accounts. This option is best for people who will be using your Chromebook regularly, like family members. Here's how:
- If you're signed into your Chromebook, sign out.
- On the bottom, click Add person.
- Enter the Google Account email address and password, then click Next.
- Follow the steps that appear.
