Bearcat Care
Bearcat Care offers on-site medical care at each campus clinic, catering to the healthcare needs of both students and staff. Through partnerships with local healthcare providers, telemedicine has brought medical consultations, diagnostics, and treatments right to the school buildings, effectively extending quality healthcare services across school sites in Parker County. Individuals can be seen for a wide variety of reasons, including cold and flu-like symptoms, allergies, fever, sore throat, eye redness, minor abdominal and GI complaints like nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, rash or skin infection, and earaches. The Bearcat Care program also incorporates access to diagnostic procedures allowing for quick and accurate testing for strep infections, COVID-19, flu, and other respiratory illnesses. Last school year, nearly 1,000 telemedicine visits happened in the clinics in AISD schools, offering convenience to parents and students, as well as staff, that is second to none!
