AISD Band Program
Aledo ISD Band Programs
Aledo ISD Band Information
The band program begins in the sixth grade. Students, divided into “like-instrument” classes, are taught fundamental music skills including tone production, music literacy, sight reading, and self-evaluation. In the seventh and eighth grades, students are placed into leveled ensembles based on their overall skill. Band students enrolled in high school continue to develop their skills as musicians and are provided multiple performance opportunities such as marching band, Colorguard, Concert Band, Jazz Band, UIL Concert and Sight-reading and district-sponsored Solo and Ensemble Events.
Music Enrichment Program
It is the policy of the Aledo band program to encourage students to study privately on their instruments whenever possible. Teachers from local universities or other recommended private lesson teachers will be on campus periodically throughout the week. Individual students will pay the instructor as set by his/her requests.
