Congratulations Lauren Schoolfield, National Merit Finalist!

Aledo High School senior Lauren Schoolfield was recently named a National Merit Finalist in the 70th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Over 1.3 million juniors in about 21,000 high schools entered the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and the finalists represent an even smaller percentage. Lauren is one of roughly 2,500 finalists named this year!

Principal Michael Martinak and Aledo ISD Director of Advanced Academics and Career and Technical Education Angie Wilkinson presented Lauren her certificate the morning of Wednesday, February 12, 2025. She plans to attend University of Oklahoma and study engineering. Lauren is heavily involved in robotics as a member of Team 13811.
