All Aledo ISD Campuses Open Friday, January 30

The image features a white oval sign with the text "WELCOME BACK, BEARCATS!" against a background of a bright yellow sun and snowflakes, suggesting a winter or cold weather setting.

Our maintenance team has been out clearing school entrances and parking lots and our transportation team has been driving routes to check neighborhood streets, and we’re excited to let you know that we’re ready to welcome our Bearcats back tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 30, for a regular school day!

We know there may still be some ice and snow piles around the community, as well as standing water that could refreeze overnight, so please continue to use caution while traveling to school. For our students who ride the bus: some routes may be delayed or take longer than usual as drivers are using extra caution. Also, some routes may need to be adapted slightly according to the road conditions. Know of a serious roadway problem in your neighborhood that might impact a route? Let us know via email at transportation@aledoisd.org.

It will certainly be cold tomorrow morning, so bundle up, and we’ll have our campuses warm, breakfasts and lunches cooked (due to inclement weather and delivery adjustments, menus may be subject to change), and teachers and staff ready to welcome our Bearcats for a day of learning!

Thank you for your patience and support as making weather-related decisions isn’t always easy (and they’re not always popular!). We appreciate all of our employees who worked throughout the snow days to make sure our campuses would be ready once classes begin.
