Aledo Independent School District has named Charles Linehan as the principal at Aledo Middle School. He is replacing Dr. Mandy Musselwhite, who will move into the previously-vacated role of Director of Human Resources in Aledo ISD at the end of the school year.

Aledo ISD has named Aledo Middle School Principal Dr. Mandy Musselwhite as the district’s Director of Human Resources, filling a vacant position to lead human resources for Parker County’s second-largest employer. She will finish out the 2024-2025 school year as principal at Aledo Middle School and transition into her new role in June.
While proactive budget cuts have helped avoid extreme measures like layoffs, continued financial strain threatens student programs, teacher pay, and class sizes. The district urges the community to advocate for increased state funding to support schools, teachers, and students.

Aledo High School senior Lauren Schoolfield was recently named a National Merit Finalist in the 70th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

McCall Elementary assistant principal Karen May was named the 2025 Region 11 Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA).
