Hello and welcome to Middle School!  I teach 7th Grade English Language Arts and Reading.

As an educator, my hope is to inspire my students to have fun in the process of learning and to make them feel comfortable in the classroom. I have a passion for teaching and love working with children of all ages.

I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada to Portuguese parents who instilled in me a love of travel. It was through my travels that I would meet my future husband while he was stationed at Osan Air Force Base in South Korea. 

My work experience includes working as a guest teacher in Melbourne, Australia with grades K-12 and special needs children. I’ve also worked as an ESL educator in South Korea. Next, I taught humanities through the lens of literacy and numeracy in West Yorkshire, England. Lastly, I have worked as an ELA Lead Teacher for several years in Crowley, Texas.

In my spare time my husband Dylan, my daughter Avery, and I enjoy traveling, visiting our family and friends, and are active members in our community.
