Hey there!  Welome to 2nd Grade!  I am Mrs. Wakins and I am so excited I get to be your child's teacher this year.  This is my 5th year teaching, but my 1st year at Walsh.  I graduated from TCU with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations.  I felt unfulfilled in my career and felt a calling to teach and became a certified teacher.   

At home, I have been married to my wonderful husband, Austen, for 18 years and we have 2 children Brooks (10)  and Landry (8).  They also attend Walsh.  We also have 2 dog fur babies, Addy and Ellie, and a brand new kitten named Louie.

We are going to have the best year.  I can't wait to meet all of you!
