Megan Settle
Counselor
Hello! My name is Megan Settle. I am the counselor at Walsh Elementary. I come to Aledo ISD with 14 years of experience in education. I have taught 1st grade and 3rd grade, and have served as a school counselor for the past 10 years. I am so excited to meet our Walsh students and families, both in person and remote!
I completed my undergraduate at Baylor University (Sic ‘Em Bears!) and my Master’s at TCU. My husband and I have a 6 year old son and a 2 year old daughter.
I will be providing guidance lessons to every student at Walsh every month. I also provide small group and individual counseling sessions to students with an identified need. I am available for parent conferences, so please call me or schedule a time for us to meet if you have any concerns.
I provide help and support to students of all ages, races, cultural backgrounds and circumstances to empower students to discover their strengths and passions in order to be college, career, and community ready. Guidance lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling will focus on the following topics:
- Goal setting/Decision Making/Planning
- Motivation to Achieve
- Responsible Behavior/Character Education
- Stress Management
- Communication Skills
- Student Leadership
- Cross-Cultural Effectiveness
- Interpersonal/Intrapersonal Effectiveness
- Self Confidence Development
I look forward to meeting you soon!
