Degrees and Certifications:
M.A. English Emphasis on Composition/Rhetoric/Literacy B.A. English
Hello! My name is Sarah Zedler, and I've lived here in Aledo for ten years with my husband and two sons.
Throughout the years, my husband and I have loved raising our boys in the Aledo community.
Previously, I've taught OnRamps Rhetoric and the AVID elective for FWISD. I've also taught creative writing and AP/IB English.
I attended John Brown University as an honor student and played basketball there. Then, I earned my M.A. at the University of Oklahoma and taught freshman composition as a graduate assistant.
In my free time, I practice yoga and tend to cook without recipes...which is an adventure for my family! I like to travel and love reading a good book.
2020-2021 is a year of growth and transition for our students, and my goal is to do what I can to encourage this year's seniors and be with them as they tap into the resilience and self-efficacy that they have already built. My hope is that they graduate with confidence in themselves because they've grown academically and as people.
In all of my experiences teaching, my overarching goal is for students to grow in their perception of themselves as people who have the skills and knowledge to understand and shape the world around them.
I'm looking forward to a wonderful year!
