Mr. Kyle Christensen

I am excited for my third year teaching Engineering and Robotics at Aledo High School! My love for science, engineering, and mathematics encourages me to find new and exciting phenomena to share with students and to integrate into my lesson plans. I have been described as a caring and enthusiastic teacher who prefers to implement project based learning opportunities for students to explore and develop their skills. I am appreciative when students bring thought provoking questions to the classroom and share in my love of learning.

My professional journey has spanned three states with our family finally settling in Aledo. I have successfully taught middle school and/or high school science courses in Texas, Oklahoma, and Michigan over my 18-year teaching career. Since being in Texas, I’ve had the honor of being named the 2018 Region 11 “Teacher of the Year” as well as being a finalist for the “Leadership Award” through the HEB Excellence in Education program. In addition to teaching, I have served as a Team Advisor for Physics Olympiad, Advisor for the Science Club, and I have coached multiple sports. I am proud to be a Bearcat, and part of #GrowingGreatness
