Pre-K & Kindergarten Registration 2020-2021

    Registration for new-to-district Pre-K and Kindergarten students begins online April 20, 2020.

    KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION (at Home Campus)

    Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2020.

    Step 1- Complete online registration beginning on April 20, 2020. 
    Step 2- Take required documents to your student’s home campus April 28-30.  Required documents are listed on the registration flyer above.

    PRE-KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION (at Coder Elementary)

    Pre-Kindergarten students must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2020.

    Step 1- Complete online registration beginning on April 20, 2020. 
    Step 2- Take required documents including the Pre-K Application to Coder Elementary April 28-30. Required documents are listed on the registration flyer above.
    Step 3- Pre-Kindergarten students must meet specific criteria to enroll.  The application is below followed by the specific eligibility criteria. You will be notified if your student is eligible to enroll.

    Pre-K Application (English and Spanish)

    Pre-K Eligibility Criteria

    • Be either unable to speak and comprehend the English language; or
    • Be from a family that is eligible to participate in the National School Lunch program for free or reduced lunches; or
    • Be homeless; or
    • Be the child of an active duty member of the United Sates Armed Forces, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the Armed Forces; who is ordered to active duty by proper authority; or
    • Be the child of a member of the United Sates Armed Forces, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the Armed Forces; who was injured or killed while serving on active duty; or
    • Is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as:
      • A peace officer under Section 3106.002, Government Code; or
      • A firefighter under Section 3106.003, Government Code; or
      • An emergency medical first responder under Section 3106.004, Government Code

    To determine eligibility for students who do not speak and comprehend the English language, a home language survey and an oral proficiency instrument will be administered.
