Hi! My name is Mrs.Hatton, and I am so excited to be a part of the Walsh Elementary First Grade team. More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher! It’s going to be a fun year filled with lots of learning and new adventures, and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us! I’m excited to get to know all about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about myself!

I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and after high school I attended Texas Christian University… GO Frogs! I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from TCU and decided I wanted to continue my education. Then I moved to Chicago, Illinois, where I attended the Erikson Institute and got my Masters in Child Development.

I taught Pre-K for three years in Chicago, and after moving back to Texas, I taught in Sanger for three years. Next, I taught kindergarten and fourth grade in Burleson for five years. Our family moved here to the Aledo area and I have been at Walsh Elementary for the past 5 years. It will be my seventeenth year teaching, and I can’t wait for our journey to begin together!

I am married to a wonderful man named James, and we have a daughter named Izzy. We also have a Doodle named Loki who keeps us on our toes. I am a huge TCU football fan, and love to root for the Bearcats as well! I enjoy spending time with my family, riding my bike, reading a good book, and just appreciating life.

A few of my favorite things:

  • Target
  • Amazon
  • Chick-fil-A
  • Starbucks
  • Your Personal Chef- Aledo
  • Sushi and Asian Cuisine

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have... I feel communication is very important.
