Hello Bearcats!  I am so honored to be your fifth grade ELAR/Social Studies teacher this year! I can't wait to learn more about you as we work together to grow and stretch our knowledge.

Before coming to Walsh Elementary this fall, I taught for three and half years in Fort Worth.  Prior to that, I taught fourth and fifth grade in Alabama and Louisiana. I graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.  I continued my education at Vanderbilt University where I earned my Master of Education degree in English Education.  

My husband and I have been married for eighteen years, and we have two beautiful children - Kathleen (a junior at Aledo High School) and Ian (an eighth grader at Aledo Middle School).  We also have three pets - two dogs, Snickers and Parsley; and our bearded dragon, Dragonite.
